Chief Guest Dr.Suresh Kumar, Dean faculty of Ocean Science and technology,KUFOS.
Dr Suresh Kumar spoke on the importance of Ocean for various life forms and Climate changes occurring due to global warming as a result of increased sea surface temperature levels . An interactive section with Dr Suresh Kumar was also conducted where children asked various questions related to Ocean Pollution and Ocean studies.
Vice Chairman Major MGC NAIR, DR P SREEKUMAR EXECUTIVE TRUSTEE, Principal and Vice principal were also present.On World Ocean Day a special programme was conducted at

5.Class 7&8 children visited MANGROVE RESEARCH CENTRE AT PUTHUVYPEEN to gain knowledge about the importance of Mangroves in preventing floods and soil erosion as well as purifying air and a good habitat for aquatic organisms.
6.School election process is a time where students get to know about the process involved in choosing the right candidate for a particular post, by using their right to vote and choose a governing body which represents the students of the school as one.The Annual School Election for the session 2024-25 was held on June 19th in the school for electing students for the post of Senior School Captain, Deputy Senior School Captain, Junior School Captain, Deputy Junior School Captain & Sports Captain. Students from grade 6 to 12 took an active part in the campaigning process which started almost a week before the actual election process happened. This results of the election are as follows: Senior School Captain – Riyan Paul Mathew 12 C, Deputy Senior School Captain- Rishith R Nair 11A, Junior School Captai- Evan Paul Pankappilly 10 E, Deputy Junior School Captain-Harisankar K B 9 E, Sports Captain – Austin Scaria 11 A.
7.International Yoga Day was celebrated on June 21st with great enthusiasm in Vidyodaya school. A special assembly was conducted where two students spoke on the importance of Yoga and how it helps to maintain harmony between body and mind. The School’s Yoga team did a display during the morning assembly and for the nursery assembly too.
8.ജൂൺ 19 മുതൽ 26 വരെയുള്ള ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ വായനവാരം ആചരിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി. സ്കൂൾ അസംബ്ലിയിൽ വായനയുടെ പ്രാധാന്യം വിളിച്ചോതുന്ന പ്രത്യേക പരിപാടികൾ നടത്തി. ജൂൺ 19 വായനദിനത്തിൽ അധ്യാപിക ആതിര രാജു വായനദിനസന്ദേശം നൽകി. തുടർന്ന് വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ വായനദിനപ്രതിജ്ഞ ചൊല്ലി. ജൂൺ 20ന് ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ സമസ്ത മേഖലയെയും സ്പർശിക്കുന്നതാണ് വായന എന്നുള്ള സന്ദേശം നൽകുന്ന കവിത ആലപിച്ചു.മൂന്നു മുതൽ 10 വരെയുള്ള മലയാള പാഠഭാഗങ്ങളിൽ ഉൾപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുള്ള സാഹിത്യകാരന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ച് പ്രശ്നോത്തരി ജൂൺ 21ന് സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. ജൂൺ 25 ന് ഒമ്പതാം ക്ലാസുകാർക്കായി വായനമത്സരം നടത്തി. വൈക്കം മുഹമ്മദ് ബഷീർ എഴുതിയ പൂവമ്പഴം എന്ന കഥയുടെയും കാരൂർ നീലകണ്ഠപിള്ള എഴുതിയ പൂവമ്പഴം എന്ന കഥയുടെയും ഉള്ളടക്കം സംഭാഷണാവതരണത്തിലൂടെ പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തി. ജൂൺ 26ന് എസ് കെ പൊറ്റെക്കാട്ടിന്റെ ഡയറിക്കുറിപ്പുകളിലെ ഒരു ഭാഗം വായിച്ചുകേൾപ്പിച്ചു.
9.lnternational Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking-A speech was given by Zuine Rashna of VII B in the morning assembly on the topic. The theme of the year- “the evidence is clear, invest in prevention” was made clear. This was followed by a pledge which was rendered by Surya S of IX C. Students of all divisions of class VII were given awareness on the topic by Ms. Elizabeth K Joseph , Counsellor and Ms. Roshini Udayakuar teacher of legal studies. This was an interactive and fruitful session for the students
10.In connection with the Vayanavaram celebrations (June 19- 25), Vidyodaya Library conducted a chart making competition on newspaper clippings for classes 6 to 8 and a daily quiz on important news items from newspapers of June 16 to June 25. Children participated enthusiastically in both the events.
11.Class 12 B students conducted a short street play in the assembly giving awareness to students about the importance of donating blood and they highlighted on the lifestyle of adolescents to avoid smoking and drinking and follow a healthy lifestyle so that they will be ready to donate pure blood to their friends and family at the time of need.

13.Theatre group Drishyabheri started its first play reading in morning assembly . Play was Gurudakshina by Sri G Shankarapillai . 8 students from Std 7 who selected Theatre as their FA participated in this .
14.National Chartered Accountants Day celebrated on July 1st.

16.Presented a speech on National Moon Day by a student of class 6
17.19 Students and 3 teachers went to ‘Santhwanam Ammaveed’ to handover 100 kilogrammes of rice and 12 kilograms of green dal. Children interacted and did some musical performance to entertain them. They were very happy and requested us to visit again.
18.A quiz was conducted by the students of class 12 B during the morning assembly based on the topic ‘Brain’.Classes 3 to 7 were the audience and the students actively participated in it

20.”Litt Fest, the Intraschool Literary Competition was organized by the Department of English on August 12. 139 students participated in the various events conducted.

24. Sanskrit Day was celebrated on August 19th. The programme was inaugurated by Dr Sarita Maheshwaran, Prof of Sanskrit University, Thruppunithura. A special presentation based on the importance of Sanskrit was displayed by students of class 9. Class 10 conducted a quiz. An exhibition was conducted by the Sanskrit students of classes 3 to 9.Interaschool competitions on Ashtapathi for classes 8,9,10 and role play for classes 5,6&7 was conducted.
