1.In connection with World Ocean Day ,Students of Std 12B were taken to Chellanam Harbour to participate in the inauguration of Save the Ocean Campaign on June 8th ,Wed, at 9am from the School.All the departments conducted programmes in connection with ocean day during the morning assembly.
2.The Self Help Empowerment(SHE) Programmes exclusively conducted for the students in Vidyodaya school commenced in a grand manner with Shri Nagaraju Chakilam,the City Police Commissioner as the chief guest. In his inaugural speech, he expressed that he had never seen a programme like this in any other school and he added that such training is very relevant for the younger generation. He also released the notice boards which explained the rules of child rights and women protection.Executive trustee Dr.P Sreekumar, Principal Geetha Rajeev,Director Administrator Esther Agnes graced the occasion. Children displayed their skills in martial arts and yoga. The Kochi narcotic cell Vanitha police demonstrated various techniques of self defence.
‘SHE’ was a part of Vidyodaya school from the year 2013 and its objective was to strengthen the girl students both morally and physically and help them to withstand and overcome any hardships in life. Boys were also given special training in overcoming worse situations in life and also taught to respect girls.
3.Poster making competition was conducted as a part of celebrating International Yoga Day 2022.Displayed different yoga postures in the morning assembly.
4.In connection with the ‘Vayanadinam Week’, a Sports Literary quiz and an exhibition of Sports Literature was conducted by the Department of Sports and English in collaboration with the Library.The participants and the audience were the students of class 7.Each section was represented by a team of two members and 7C emerged the winners.
5.School Election
School Election was conducted on 28th June 2022. It gave students the opportunity to experience the taste of Adult franchise and understand democratic set up .

6.School observed DOCTORS’ day on July 1’st .A short skit was performed by std 5 students to pay
tribute to the Covid warriors .It was about the history of celebrating Doctors ‘ day and the services of
a Doctor. Charts were put up in various notice boards .Students of
All classes from std 1-12 expressed their gratitude through slogans , poems and pictures on a cloth
wall put up in assembly hall .
7.Session on how to set up SEED museum in school.

8.Vidyodaya school conducted Sanskritamritam, an interschool competition for Sanskrit. Around 35 students from 13 schools in Ernakulam participated in two events namely news reading and role play.
9.Lit fest, the intra school literary competition was held on 12th August based on the theme India @75. Students of classes 1& 2 dressed as leaders participated in the Fancy Dress event . A quiz based on post independence literature was conducted for classes 3-5. Students of classes 6-8 took part in the anchoring competition and for 9.-12 it was poster making and presentation. The winners of each event will qualify for the inter school literary competition Vlitt.
10.Career week-Vidyodaya organised a week long Career Guidance Programme ,”EANIPPADIKAL” from 22nd August to 26th August, 2022 . Mr.Nasser Khan,IRS (Additional Commissioner- GST and Customs Ernakulam) inaugurated the programme.
The purpose is to give awareness about the various courses in India which the students can pursue after class 12, prestigeous colleges and universities offering these courses, the qualifying entrance exams required etc.

13.Talk on Recent trends and research in chemistry by Mr.SharathChandran J for classes XII A,B,C and XI A,B,C on 19/8/22
14.As a part of subject enrichment activity in science, Std 7 students attended one day Attachment programme of C-SIS,CUSAT on 19th and 20th of September.
15.Vidyodaya School organised a childrens’ book exhibition in collaboration with the Kochi International Children’s Book Fest on 20/9/2022. Dr Nithyananda Bhatt, an eminent writer and former professor of Kerala University and Cochin College, Ms Sreekala, former Libraraian Indian Naval Academy and Mr Somanathan, Secretary, Book Fest Council were the guests/ judges. Children exhibited their books and interacted enthusiastically with the guests. Guests were very happy with the performance of our kids as well as the hospitality given by our school.
16.As part of an industrial visit, students of classes XII D and E visited CKK Nair Containers and Industrial Engineering Corporation, Kalamassery on 28/09/22.

Students got an opportunity to explore the production of steel barrels and containers.
They were introduced to the various procedures like processing the raw material to welding, coating, painting and finally to packaging.
The thoroughly enriching and informative visit brought the students close to understand a real factory setup.

18.As per the directives of the Department of Education, Government of India, the School Innovation Council was formally launched on 7th October, 2022. The first meeting held in the school campus was attended by the 21 core committee members that included mentors Mr. Sharon Sebastian, Mr. Shine Sreedhar, Principal, Vice Principal, SIC Ambassadors, SIC members, school head boy, student representatives.
The talk by the mentors emphasized on out of the box thinking and the need to cultivate ideas at a very early stage. The students were informed about the various stages of startups and the intricacies involved. The duo answered the queries by the students leading to fruitful exchange of ideas.
Students were motivated to attend various online technology related communities and sessions that could help them build their knowledge.
19.A mentor talk was organized by the Students Innovation Council for the students of classes 6-9. The guest speaker Mr.Rahul Jayagopal Nair, a lifeologist , motivated the students with his inspiring talk on innovation. The very interactive session witnessed the students sharing their opinions and raising their queries to the speaker.
20.Seminar on the topic ‘Basic electronics & digital electronics’ was conducted for std 12A,B,C (Science batches) on 2 /11/22 by Prof B Krishna Kumar, Retired Professor , Dept of Physics, Sree Sankara college Kalady from 10 am to 11.30 am in the AV hall
21. V-Litt, the interschool literary competition conducted by the English department, was held on the 31st of October 2022, monday in Vidyodaya school. Dr Milon Franz, Principal of St Xaviers college,Aluva inaugurated the programme.Vidyodaya Trust Vice chairman Major M.G.C Nair, Principal Ms Geetha Rajeev, Director Administrator Ms Esther Agnes and Nusery in charge Ms Shirly Somasundaram graced the occasion. Around 18 schools in and around Ernakulam participated in the events.
Choice school,Trippunithura bagged the overall trophy.
22. The Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was observed on 31st October 2022 in Vidyodaya school and the pledge for the same was rendered by the school captain to the students.
23.An anti drugs awareness session in association with CWFS, NUALS was organised at Vidyodaya school for the students of classes 9 to 12 on 7th November 2022.Resource persons: Dr. Lekshmy Gupthan,Govt. Medical College.Kalamaserry and
Adv.Roopesh Dev R., High court of Kerala spoke to the students on the effects of drug abuse and measures to overcome the same.
24.Alpha byte 3.0 an interschool competition organised by the departments of computer science and mathematics was conducted on 25th of November 2022.9 Schools including vidyodaya participated. Prof.(Dr.) K Paulose Jacob,chairman Vidyodaya Trust was the chief Guest.
25.Prof Seetharaman Memorial Award function was conducted at the vidyodaya Campus.
26.Students performed a street play at St.Alberts College as part of Thetre on wheels.
27.National mathematics day celebrated in the campus.
28.Students of “Theatre on wheels” preseneted a street play in Lulu Mall.
29.A session on Bamboo cultivation, how bamboo serves as a good soil binder and curb the pressure from deforestation was held on——/1/2023. The session was led by Mr. Manoj for the students of std 9 and members of SEED club
30.On 14th February, Grammar Galleria, organized by the Dept. of English and ATL exhibition held from 9.15am to 2.15pm.

34.Mr.P Jayaraman,a representative of Kerala Science & Technology Society addressed the class 11 students on the topic – Soft Skills ,on Wednesday 22nd of February 2023 .
35.Vidyodaya Model United Nations was conducted on 28-3-23 on the theme ‘Geopolitical Conflicts’.
Students from classes 7 to 11 adorned the role of delegates representing various countries and deliberated on various issues related to the topic. The session made them aware on the working of the General Assembly as well as equipped them to update themselves on the happenings of the world scenario. Debates, discussions, general consensus were all a part of the programme.

Nandan S Nair and Gitanjali S Jacob chaired the MUN session .Harishankar K Kaimal of Std 11,Lakshmi Nair of Std 9 and Nandagopal.J of Std 8 bagged the Best Delegate prizes.
36.In connection with National Science Day,the following programmes were held.
i)quiz competition for std 3 and 4 based on the topic Indian Scientists and their Contributions on 17/2/23
ii)blue Board display competitions for std 6 to 8 on the theme Global Science for Global Wellbeingon 28/2/23.
iii)skit by std 9 students on the theme “Raman Effect”on 28/2/23
iv)Science Quiz in the Morning Assembly

38. World standards day was observed during assembly special programme to give an awareness about the importance of standards in order to protect our reserves. Theme- “shared vision for a better world”. The sustainable development goals of UNO were shown to students.
39. In connection with world Mental day, awareness generation programme was conducted during assembly along with poster presentation and blue board display competition for classes 6 to 9.
40.In connection with constitution national unity day and republic day, speeches given by students.
41.Financial literacy class was taken for class 11B.
42.Youth Parliament was conducted in the school on 2/3/2023
43.Communal harmony and flag day was observed in the assembly through a speech by 2 students and a song on communal harmony was also sung.
44.Community event was conducted for the neighbouring school, Govt VHSS Thevakkal.A workshop was conducted .
45.On Womans’s day,Ms.Sumayya, Tanker Lorry Driver of BPCL talked to the students during the morning assembly
