Vidyodaya School, Thevakkal, hosted VOX 2026, its prestigious interschool cultural competition, on Saturday, July 4, bringing together 22 schools from across the region in a vibrant celebration of patriotism. The event, themed “Sarfaroshi – A Symphony of Sacrifice,” paid tribute to the courage, commitment, and sacrifices of the Indian Armed Forces through a variety of cultural and literary competitions.
The inaugural ceremony, held at the school assembly hall, was graced by Major General K.T.G. Nambiar, VSM (Retd.) as the chief guest. In his address, he encouraged students to uphold the values of discipline, courage, and national service while appreciating the participants for expressing patriotism through art and creativity.
Throughout the day, students showcased exceptional talent in a wide range of events inspired by the lives and sacrifices of India’s defence personnel. The performances reflected themes of bravery, unity, and love for the nation, captivating the audience and judges alike.
The valedictory ceremony was presided over by noted film director Sri Anand Ekarshi, who congratulated the participants for their outstanding performances and applauded the organisers for choosing a meaningful national theme.
After a closely contested competition, Prabhat Public School and Christu Jayanthi Public School emerged as the overall winners, earning accolades for their remarkable performances across multiple events.
