Vidyodaya, a co-educational English medium school affiliated to CBSE, and certified as ISO 9001-2008, started functioning in 1990, under the management of Vidyodaya – a registered Charitable Trust. From very humble beginnings in a rented house in Kaloor, with about 20 students and 6 teachers, the school gradually grew into one of the best in Cochin, spread in a sprawling 12 acre campus, housing more than 2000 students and 200 staff. The eco-friendly campus which safeguards its scenic ambience at every step of development, reminds many of "Shantiniketan".

Activity

Along with academics, Vidyodaya gives due weightage and importance to specialization in areas of Music, Dance, Dramatics, Yoga, Art & Craft, Martial arts like Kalari, Karate, Taekwondo and Judo. The numerous activities in an academic year provide ample opportunities for Vidyodayans to augment their lateral learning. The SPICE (Social Participation in Child Education) is one of the remarkable programmes in school, wherein the students get chances to interact with eminent personalities from diverse realms in the society. Various workshops are conducted for parents to ensure their active participation in moulding their wards, as we believe that parents are partners in the educational process.

Vidyodaya Nursery

The Vidyodaya Nursery, is an entity on its own.Housed in a unique train shaped building, it catches the imagination of the young child.

The specific developmental needs of the child are addressed in a socially co-operative and non-competitive environment. The mission of Vidyodaya Nursery is to provide appropriate experiences that are challenging and to promote social, emotional, physical and academic growth through a combination of play and activity. In addition to developing reading, writing and counting readiness skills, the school also promotes extra-curricular activities, Drawing, Painting, Music, Drama, Puppetry, Games and Handwork.

Martial Arts

Martial Arts like Kalarippayat, Taekwondo, Karate and Judo are practised for a variety of reasons like self defence, competition, physical health and fitness, entertainment as well as mental, physical and spiritual development. Training for the above mentioned martial arts are given in the school.
