The 30th Vidyodaya School Annual Sports Day was organised on the 4th of February 2023. After a hiatus of 2 years due to the lingering fear of the Covid-19 pandemic, the school organised one of its most signature events. The event commenced with the arrival of the chief guest Olympian Lijo David Thottan, Indian sprinter, who has brought laurels to the nation. Students of classes 8 and 9 marched uniformly to the drum beat in their house uniform. After hoisting the flag, the chief guest addressed the audience.He motivated the students to keep on persevering and wait for the right opportunity to use their skills.He added that they need not get disheartened for not attaining any medals during school days as it would not be good to take the burden in this age but they can keep practicing. The oath taking ceremony took place with the sports captain pleasure pledging to uphold the honour and spirit of true sportsmanship. The audience were in for a visual treat as the students of classes 5 6 and 7 display their skills in kalari, Yoga, dance, roller sketches etc. The audience was enthralled the spectacular aerobics display by the class 11 students. After the display, various sports events were conducted.The event was graced by Vidyodaya Vice chairman Major M.G.C Nair, Execetive Trustee Dr.P Sreekumar, Principal Ms Geetha Rajeev, Director Administration Ms.Esther Agnes, Vice Principal Ms.Rekha T, Nursery in charge Ms.Shirley Somasundaran and our dear parents.
