Gandhi Jayanthi

Gandhi Jayanti on October 2, is a revisiting of the outrageous suffering and unparalleled courage that embellished the era of India’s freedom struggle. Gandhiji’s 153rd birth anniversary, or International day of Non-violence, was commemorated in our school with a speech during the School Morning Assembly. This insight into Gandhi’s life and achievements was provided to the gathering of students from 3rd to 12th grade by Devika Biju and Nandana Krishnakumar of class 8C. A timeline of the important movements and protests initiated by Gandhi along with his biography was outlined in the speech. The assembled students were enlightened and inspired to attempt to emulate this great soul’s actions and principles.
